One Month Old today

Our little Sport is 1 Month old! I can't believe how
much things have changed. We finally decided to
take our little guy to the ENT doctor just a couple
days ago. He assumes it's probably a Bacteria and
put him on antibiotics. I hope that it clears it up.
I still feel like I'm on edge listening to him durning the
night to see if he's still breathing. He doesn't cry like
all the other babies. He kind of makes soft breathing
ways to let me know his noes is closed. Sad I returned
the BBG machine. :0( That was so useful with his little nose.

Over all besides the nose issues I LOVE MY LITTLE BUG!
He has bee the joy in our life. He finally started on this
swing my sister let me use. He seems to really like it.
So fun to watch him learn and grow. Happy Day today!

Happy Mothers Day!

For Mothers Day We decided to take some pictures of the
Grandkids for my mom. My son is so small that he
drowns in his clothing. Some day he will grow into them. :0)
He was wide awake, I think the sun was too bright that
he didn't want to open his eyes.
All the grandkids together. They are all so super cute!

2 Week Appointment and Circumcised

Our little one had his first Appointment with the
Dr. He was so brave and has grown

My sons now 7 pounds 4 oz and 21 inches long. He was
a brave little boy today. Two week shorts and was circumcised
today. I didnt handle that too well. Cried and almost passed out. Oy!

Nothing is harder then watching your baby cry.
I never thought I could get seriously attached to something.
Especially a baby. I was like blood No big deal. Oh small
surgery "No big deal". Cry that is ok.. the pain isn't mine.
The nurse asked if Kenton wanted to go back he said yes.
My heart eminently wanted to follow. I told the nurse I wanted
to go. She was like "Are you sure you want to go back?" I said Yes!
She was like ok... but no throwing up. If you can't handle it. Step
out side.

As they were doing the procedure Kayden started to cry.
I started to tear up. I have never heard a baby cry like that.
I looked up and cleared my eyes and looked again. I soon
almost passed out. It was the hardest thing ever.
I have a greater respect for doctors that can do this.

I didn't care much about circumcision before, until
I read about all the infections, diseases, etc they could get.
I'm not downing or look bad at moms that didn't get there kids
circumcised. That is their decision and I support your decision.
I know every mom can take care of kids the way they need to.
I hope that moms don't look down on me for doing it.

I will say I'm happy with my decision yet I never knew how hard it
was going to be on me to watch it. Next time I will wait until they
are done and then comfort my little one. Sad that they couldn't
do it at the hospital. Get all the hard stuff done at the beginning.
Instead of dragging it on. Silly Dr's!
I have a love hate relationship with them.

Bobby time and time away from my baby :0(

We decided to try the Bobby out for the first time.
He seemed to like it. I was needing to get a few things
done around in the room and our little sport didn't
want to be left alone so... If he was up and could
look around he was just fine. I decided to place him in
the bobby and WALA it worked. He wasn't fussing.
NICE trick. :0)

After Kenton got home he decided to run to do a
few errands. Forgetting that I still need to eat. We
then had ZERO time to prepare something. If you
realize when your pregnant or nursing and you go
to long with out eating, you will realize you get really
light headed and almost pass out. I have realized on my end.
Not sure if that's what happens to you. Kenton always mentions
"What would you like to make tonight" UGH! I can not make
anything like this... We soon decided to go to outback steak
house and dragged Kenzie along with us. Then I come
to find out this is a terrible deal on my end.
Kenton asked if mom could watch him. She said YES!
And it was over for me... :0( I didn't want to leave
my little bug. But HAD to! What a dumb deal.

If you ever have to leave your baby for the first time.
Total separation anxiety. I have never left my babies side
before. I don't even let him sleep in his own bed he sleeps
with me. Totally terrible I know! I will some how break that habit.
It was good mom doesn't mind me calling twice during the
dinner to see how my baby was. He didn't seem to miss me much
he was sleeping the whole time. Sad, but good!

In this picture is Kenzie and her heart shaped chicken. Awe so cute!

One Week Old

My baby is One week old today. It is so weird to think
that a week ago I was in the hospital. I don't want to
brag but I lost my weight so super fast. I didn't know what
to do with myself. I was so used to having a big belly and
all that water weight to going back to my semi normal size.
I think I had 5 more pounds to go... AHH! Talk about crazy fast.
Totally put me into shock. Well anyways... We celebrated
our baby with cake. Happy to no stretch marks and a happy healthy
baby boy. I think there was a lot to celebrate that day. :0)

My Baby with many Faces

I never knew a newborn could have so many
faces in a split second. I really wanted to
share a few of them. I decided to get out my
camera phone and take a ton of pictures to show some off.

Our little sport was trying to wake up, yawn,
wanted food, and needing to sneeze all at the same time.
When he gets hungry he tries to eat his PJ's
Silly goose. He doesn't realize that isn't going to
feed him.
poop eye anyone? Or is this a farting face?
ha ha ha I love my little one.
After he ate I get this sweet little face. Awe... such
a little cutie. :0)

First Bath at home + Doctor visit... Sigh!

Alright so little bugs first bath didn't go over so well.
He did not like the water at all. He cried the whole time.
Little bug just wanted to get out right then and there.
I felt so bad, but he really needed a bath.
Once he got out of the tub, he was much happier
to be in Grandma's arms. Nothing better then a warm
towel and being in his grandma's arms. We were so happy that
Grandma stayed a few nights with us to help us get on our feet.
Grandma is the best!
Long day leads to nap time.
On the next day April 25th We went to the doctors for a follow
up on little bugs nose. It didn't look so good. The doctor ordered
a BBG machine for him. It is a machine that cleans out his nose
with a small catheter at the tip that goes into the front of his nose.
I didn't like it at first. Never realized how I didn't like to hear
my sweet baby cry over a cleaning. Poor guy, why does he have to
go through this? Why couldn't it just be me. I wish I could take over
his pain for him. I will say, he is so much more happier when
his nose is clean and he could finally breath.

The Dr. Wants our little sport to use this machine for a
week to 2 weeks. He mentioned if it doesn't clear up
with in that time to take him to and ENT. He said that it
is probably something more serious and it should get looked
at by a specialist. He said he didn't want it to get to bad,
because if it gets to the lungs it can turn pneumonia. Which
we didn't want. So I guess we will try this thing out.
Look how gross that is. Bugers EWW...

Easter

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Our little bugs first Morning being home and it's EASTER SUNDAY!
I bought this new born outfit and realized he is super small.
I should have gotten him a premie outfit. I'm sure that would have fit
better. I wasn't expecting to bring home a little, little baby he was
6'8" when we took him home. It was such a perfect day.
We had Aunt Kenzie over, Stefanie, Step dad Dan, Mom (She staid the
night and made us dinner). My husband wanted to play Monopoly
streets with Kenzie and Stefanie. It was fun to see so much joy and
happiness in the room.
My sweet little bug had a break down. He was tired and
had a long day. It was time to eat and go to Bed he says.
He wasn't the only one to have a break down. Mommy totally
had one for no reason really. I never know hormones could
get the best of you. My mom came and talked with me.
Then Kenton came later and comforted me.

Look how sweet he is. He LOVES his bed. How can you
not love this little guy?

Day 3 - Heading Home

Continued story from Day 2...

(My little bug looks like a gangster. Totally wasn't the look
I was going for. I just wanted to make sure he was warm.)

The shifts changed again and I had a different doctor by 3AM.
I noticed my little boy was starting to struggle with his breathing
again and I asked the nurse if she could clean out his nose.
She said she wasn't going to do that because she said "it's
probably just inflammation and if I suction it, it would only make
it worse". I was a frustrated and asked again to have her to clean out
my babies nose and asked if she had read my babies charts and mentioned
that the dr. came and told her the full story. She slightly cleaned it
and said "Ok it's clean" She didn't touch it the rest of the
time we were there. No matter how many times I asked her.

Finally I was in tears because my baby literally couldn't breath and
He spit up and it got stuck and he started to choking on his
spit up. I started to freak out and cried even more. I finally
got him to start breathing again. I told her what happened
and she had an aditude and told me "Next time suck it out
and put him on his stomach and pat it out. He's fine that
happens" No it doesn't always happen like that!!! I've seen
a baby spit up and kind of choke. This was totally different.

She asked if we wanted to be discharged early? I told her Yes!
I wanted to get out of that dang hospital with all the
crazy nurses. We were all packed and a different pediatrician
came in. Can I say he was a little Cookie, and didn't know anything?
He came in I told him what was going on. He could obviously
hear that the sounds my baby was making wasn't normal, yet
he didn't NOTHING! He said "He sounds fine" and sent us
on our way. We got out little man in his car seat. Started
down the hall and listened to him cry and gasp for air.
The CNA would say "Awe that poor little guy, he sounds terrible."
YES Ya think so? Why wont you clean it out?

We got to the car and I ended up sitting in the back with my
baby. I started to cry on the way home and told my husband
"Our baby can't breath" He said "He's breathing" I replied "Yes,
but he struggling". We were literally 3 min. away from home and
our little man stopped breathing completely. His face went blue, purple,
his lips went gray. I started to scream and tried to open his mouth.
He wouldn't! I tried to get his seat belt off to see if I could get him to
breath. I was telling my husband "HE STOPPED BREATHING!!!".
We were then 1 min. away from home. Then his eyes rolled to the back
of his head. I got his seat belt off. We pulled into the driveway and
he gave out a HUGE cry. I told my husband "Oh good his color is
coming back, HURRY get him into the house." I took my sweet
baby and went up the stairs quickly. Had my husband RUN to the
store to buy saline. I tried to clean his nose out. I didn't get
anything out. I saw that he had thick black crusty's in his nose.

I saw a tooth pic at the end of a dental floss and started digging
at his nose. While he was struggling to breath. I got one side out
then the other side out and my little guy went completely quiet and
fell asleep. Poor little guy. He was so tired from fighting with
his breathing. I called my husband to let him know that he
was breathing and he was finally asleep.
Kenton said that he bought the saline. I was so happy my
husband was almost home. I never want to relive that experience
ever again! So glad my little bug is ok.
When we finally got things to settle down. My sister
Alysa comes walking in with a purple flower and
asked if I could hurry and make a boutonniere for
Kenzie. She had forgotten to pick up her flower from the
floral shop. I told her I could do it. I started working on
it and this is what I came up with. It looks good right?
So glad I had extra purple flowers to add to this.
I had Kenton meet up with them at Roosters where
they were eating. They look good right. Everybody say
"awe". I love my baby sister. She is amazing!
Kenton's dad came over with Donna and Andelyn over.
Grandpa loves to hold our little bug like a foot ball.
He totally loves it, falls right to sleep. Super cute!
Look how happy he is now that he got a nap AND he can
finally breath. Awe... So glad we are finally home!
We were so happy that Alysa, DJ, and Finley were
able to come down and visit with our little sport.
Finley LOVES her cousin. I think she totally wanted
to play. Hopefully someday he will LOVE to play. :0)

Thanks guys for coming over and being so supportive.
Nothings better then family.

Day 2 at the Hospital

I couldn't believe I still had energy with all the lack
of sleep I had. From Not sleeping all night from
Labor pains and giving birth to a Handsome little man.
To feeding him all night long. I do really LOVE being a mom.
It finally started to settle in I am a mother now. No greater
blessing in the world. I have loved my little guy.
He is so good. He doesn't cry when he is hungry. Just a
few "ughs" here and there. Small fusses that don't sound
like fusses. It was interesting to hear all the babies
cry at night and my little guy for sure hadn't cried like that
once.
It was fun getting pictures of him in the
morning with all his facial
expressions. He is SUPER cute!
During the whole day he had been sleeping the whole time.
The day went from a perfect morning to a frustrating day to end
with a terrible night. Let me begin with this story. In the morning
it was a great way to start off any day with cues's and awe's.
I was enjoying my little family. Then my baby fell asleep. He wasn't
hungry, just because he was eating literally all night long.
The Nurse was getting mad at me and told me I was terrible
and that I was starving my baby. She put my baby in time out for
45 min. She also told me that we would have to feed him by a tub.
Just a horrible nurse. She took a sugar test on my baby to see if
it was low. Which it wasn't! She ordered a lactation nurse to
come in to see me. I was talking with the lactation nurse and
she told me I wasn't doing anything wrong and obviously
I knew how to feed my baby. She mentioned that my little
one played all night and now wants to sleep and he was just
fine. Which eased my mind. I didn't feel like a horrible mother.

When they had switched shifts and we got a new nurse I was
telling her my baby wasn't acting normal and she needed to
clean his nose and she let me know that she wasn't going to
clean out his nose, because it was probably just Inflammation.
I was kind of frustrated because it had been a full 24 hours since
he was born and why would inflammation finally be showing up
now and not 12 hours ago???

She came back into the room closer to dinner and my little
guy had already been gasping for air and his nose was
getting worse. I had her listen to him and she said
"OH MY that isn't normal." She called the pediatrician
and ordered an X-Ray and Blood tests. She took my little
one and Kenton and I fell asleep. My mom came and we
visited her for a little bit. Then I had her take Kenton out to
eat. He really needed to get out of the hospital. I ordered me
some food while they were out. My little guy came back.
I held him and didn't want to let him go. My dinner came and
I couldn't eat at all. I tried and just couldn't even think about it.

The nurse came back in (with concern) and asked if she
could take the baby to the nursery so I could eat and I told
her No, and that it was alright. I couldn't possibly part with
him, when he couldn't breath. It BROKE my heart listening
to him. She soon came in and told me that the Pediatrician
was in and wanted to take a look at him. She took him and
I think I took just a few bites of my meal and couldn't eat any
more. I sat around and waited 15 min. and wondered where
my little guy was and how he was doing.

I started to walk down the hall and I saw my hubby walking
down the hallway coming back to the room. I told him
our little sport was in the nursery with the pediatrician.
He went with me and we saw the doctor and the nurse talking
and they didn't have happy faces.
It looked like they were more concerned.
The doctor started to come out to find us, and saw us in the
hall way and asked if we were the parents, then continued
to tell us what was wrong. He mentioned that he found
a lot of black stuff in his nose. Our Dr. said that he thought
it was Meconium (which is where a baby has a bowel movement
before it is born). But it probably wasn't, just because it
wasn't in the charts. The Dr. then didn't know what it was.

He mentioned that the nurse will have to clean his nose out
frequently and we will have to do this for the next 2 to 3 days.
He was happy that the hospital called him, he didn't think
our sweet baby would have made it through the night, if they
didn't deep clean it out that night.
The nurse came into our room and apologized for not
acting sooner and mentioned that it's usually just inflammation
and it sounded like just inflammation. I accepted her apology and
I was just happy that we caught it when we did. She was defiantly
super nice to me for the rest of her shift. I think she was a little
scared that I would sue her.

The shifts changed again and I had a different nurse by 3AM.
I noticed my little boy was starting to struggle with his breathing
again and I asked the nurse if she could clean out his nose.
She said she wasn't going to do that because "it's

and said "Ok it's clean" She didn't touch it the rest of the
time we were there. No matter how many times I asked her.

Finally I was in tears because my baby literally couldn't breath and
He spit up and it got stuck in his throat
and he started to choking on his
spit up. I started to freak out and cried even more. I finally
got him to start breathing again. I told her what happened
and she had an attitude and told me "Next time suck it out
